Enclosed is release 1.2.7 of the demo version of HVS Color for Macintosh/Photoshop. HVS Color is a high-quality color reduction plug-in that gives you 24-bit quality in 8-bit images, even at low color depths. Because no dithering is used, HVS images compress better and produce smaller GIF files.
If Photoshop is running, quit it before you continue with the install. There should be a folder called Acquire/Export within Plug-ins under your Adobe Photoshop 3.0 folder. Copy the file HVSColorDemoFat to the Acquire/Export filter. When you restart Photoshop, you should see "HVS Color..." available on the File/Export menu.
HVS Color requires Adobe Photoshop 3.0 or later. We recommend setting Photoshop memory to at least 14 MB for 640X480 images.
